Combined Solution Will Offer One-Stop IPTV Solution for Global Tier 1 Carriers

Kasenna, The IPTV CompanyT, today announced an agreement under which it will license its PortalTV suite (including Kasenna LivingRoom and MediaBase XMP), to Ericsson AB (NASDAQ: ERICY) for integration with Ericsson's broadband access products. Together, Ericsson's networking products and Kasenna's Portal TV suite will provide a fully-integrated, one-stop IPTV solution for service providers.
The combined solution will provide an integrated network and IPTV infrastructure carriers need to deliver advanced TV services such as video-on-demand, network PVR, StartOver TV, andcustomizable electronic programming guides (EPGs). "Kasenna is excited to partner with Ericsson, a true Telecom industry leader, to target IPTV opportunities around the globe," said Kumar Shah, CEO of Kasenna. "The partnership between our two companies will extend from an integrated IPTV product suite to a tightly coupled sales and support services organization that will make it easier for telecom operators to immediately deploy a competitive, carrier-grade TV solution that not only generates revenue today but positions them for tomorrow's needs."
