The new version of LiveScreen allows Symbian OS handsets to receive rich-media interactive-broadcast messages directly to the screen. The Symbian client can be downloadable over-the-air (OTA). The new version of LiveScreen is backwards compatible with the incumbent Interactive Broadcast STK-based solution, which is already used by millions of subscribers worldwide.
Based on Celltick's Interactive Broadcast technology, LiveScreen allows operators to feed their subscribers' screens with a continuous flow of rich content, including pictures, colors, backgrounds and animations. Among its many advantages is its ability to package the handset in the operator's look & feel.
Featuring full rich-media broadcast capabilities, LiveScreen allows 3G abilities on current 2G and 2.5G networks. This results in unprecedented advantages to operators in the form of superior branding options and revenues.
LiveScreen capitalizes on the most precious unused real estate-the idle handset screen-enabling operators to leverage their existing content and VAS technologies. LiveScreen brings valuable free rich-media content to subscribers using either high-end or legacy handsets, in an intuitive and transparent manner. Instead of waiting for subscribers' initiative, LiveScreen lets subscribers react to on-screen, dynamic, live content. With LiveScreen, subscribers consume value added service in just 2 clicks.
At the touch of a button, subscribers can access a wide range of thrilling content: online information services, IVR's, WAP portals, MMS content, icon/ringtone downloads, games, and Java applications.
"The new version of LiveScreen is major step forward in Celltick's mission to make all mobile handset screens live and interactive," said Celltick CEO Yossi Wellingstein. "It is a real break-through in the continued evolution of interactive broadcast technology. Subscribers can now enjoy even more interesting live content on their handsets screens, while mobile operators can attain higher customer satisfaction and data revenues than ever before."
